I am considered among peers and adversaries alike to be a renaissance man. I feel strongly, as a patriot of the United States of America, that I should uphold my God given Constitution as the foundation of my life, my core of living.  When freedom is threatened in my back yard, whether by tyrants or from adversaries within, I continuously rise up to bar the paths of unrighteousness no matter the cost, no matter the odds. There will always be some misunderstanding of the causes that we have set out to accomplish; always another battleground to face. One must stand and say, "who will be the one to see it as his American duty to fight for the forefathers legacy of freedom?"   For this can be preciously taken out of our very beings in a moments notice.

The process begins with a person, a community, a government and finally a country. This is my premise, my life, and my qualification of living.  I am called by God, as all, to share the pursuit of life, liberty and private property which are precious gifts from God - not the government.

I am the oldest of seven children (five girls and two boys) born to Burton and Vella (Harvell) Mills.  In the late 40's and early 50's, as a young man after World War II,  I had to leave school in the 8th grade to help my Dad earn a living for our family.  I earned a living as a carpenter and fisherman, working on a wooden, 85' two mast schooner named The Old Bob of Niceville, FL.   I served in the U.S. Military from 1952 to 1960, however, left active duty in 1956.Common Loon

That same year, at the age of 21, I married my girlfriend, Betsy E. Sunnarborg of Esko, MN.  In 1958, with God's help, Betsy and I began our most loveable family, raising five children (two girls and three boys) - two of our own and three adopted.  One has become a Ph.D., and others in medical, educational and contracting fields.   If Betsy and I live to see August 10, 2000, we will celebrate 45 years together as Husband and Wife.

After leaving active duty in 1956, I worked one year as a service technician in Duluth, MN.  I eventually became self employed, leasing a Phillip 66 service station in Esko, MN, and then went onto be a Phillip 66 Jobber/Bulk Station Operator in Monticello, MN. I then spent some time as a restaurant/bar owner in Cloquet, MN, before moving back to Florida in 1967.

Upon my return to Florida, I became the owner of a concrete plant, and built two construction/heavy equipment companies known as Mills Brothers General Contracting and Mills Brothers Construction.  Our companies employed some 80 employees in the Fort Walton Beach, FL area. Woodland splendar

In 1986, I "retired" and worked odd jobs until going to federal prison in 1989 for the "crime" of placing 19 truck loads of clean sand on my small lot on East Bay in Navarre, FL, to build my Son a home.  The Government claimed that I violated the Clean Water Act, declared me a criminal, and sentenced me to 21 months in federal prison.  I have been fighting to have my rights and my freedom restored ever since.
